Recent Work

My artwork delves into the intricacies of human identity. Combining printing and painting techniques, my work features portraits, calligraphy, geometric and symbolic shapes and layered textures that carry profound meanings tied to the human experience.

Influenced by my own journey as both a counselor and artist, I draw upon untold stories and unspoken messages, reflecting the nuanced transitions in life stages. Through my work, I aim to evoke a dialogue between the viewer & conscious and unconscious mind, encouraging them to explore the hidden beauty in the similarities and contradictions that occur between them.

In this fast-paced modern age, my mission is to offer solace and peace through a profound connection between my art and the essence of human identity. I aim to guide viewers in uncovering and understanding emotions and perspectives they may not have previously recognized within themselves or others. My work invites an ongoing, meaningful engagement with the themes I explore, fostering a deep and comprehensive journey of self-discovery. This mission also extends to the wellness workshops I lead, where art becomes a powerful medium for holistic understanding, reflection, and healing.

Guardianship

Screen print, 75cm x 56cm

This work represents one of the deeply rooted principles in shaping the individual’s identity in a serial, cumulative, and unlimited manner.

In some societies, it is negatively conservative in forming the individual’s unique identity.

The embossed eye represents the cumulative guardianship in all forms of life as an ancient, engraved, unchangeable principle. The surrounding decoration uses screen-print to express the protection of this principle with a sanctity that cannot be criticized or modified.

Veiled?

Screen print, 75cm x 56cm

This work embodies one of the fundamental principles that shape an individual's identity in a sequential, cumulative, and limitless manner. It is presented through a question: "Veiled?"

In some societies, this principle is viewed as conservative and unquestionably negative in shaping both the individual’s identity and that of generations.

The hair inscription at the center of the work dares to present itself as a question. symbolizing the principle of cumulative obedience, a deeply ingrained force that affects the body and life itself. The surrounding silkscreen motifs represent the preservation of this principle, embodying an unshakable sanctity. They symbolize the sacred tools of society, used to pressure, control, and sustain obedience

Communication 2, captures the intense internal rage a person experiences when navigating self-communication. The emotional intensity in this work emphasizes the struggle and tension that arises during times of deep self-reflection.

The artist, while working on these works in a phase of self-understanding and identity formation, created this series while adjusting to life after a difficult move from the Middle East to Europe (Ireland). This transition, both emotional and physical, heavily influences the work, serving as a backdrop to the process of redefining identity.

Through this series, the artist invites viewers to reflect on their own journeys of self-communication, identity, and transformation. Communication 1/2 is a meditation on the inner conflicts, reconciliation, and growth that come with major life changes, offering a universal exploration of how we redefine ourselves in the face of change.
